Mumbai: Although Royal Challengers were the favorites to take on MI but the tables turned.   The wankheda Stadium jam packed seen a much wanted victory for Mumbai Indian. MI won by 19 runs to go through. Big total put on the board by Mumbai! Gautam batted nicely up front and took the hosts to a fine start. But then, they lost some quick wickets and were in trouble on 4/84. The 97-run stand between Sharma and Pollard bailed them out and powered the final total beyond 150. Skipper Rohit Sharma started slowly but then pressed on the accelerator in the death overs. The wicket is quite decent for batting and Bangalore had a powerful batting unit.  But couldn’t chase it down till the end.

End of a cracking contest! We witnessed some great cricket from both sides and the mercury did rise when Pollard and Starc had a go at each other. Bangalore initiated their reply quite well with Gayle and Patel laying a strong platform. But Mumbai made a resounding comeback after that and kept on pegging the visitors back by picking regular wickets. The wicket of de Villiers, soon followed by the wicket of skipper Kohli was the turning point of this match and Bangalore never looked in contention. After a poor start with the ball, the Mumbai bowlers bounced back, specially Harbhajan Singh, who dismissed both the openers. Bumrah, too, was very impressive as the youngster held his nerve under pressure and delivered for his side in the absence of Zaheer Khan.
